'94 4L60E Question/concern
I have a '94 Vette with a built 4L60E that has an issue at the 1-2 shift only at WOT. The problem started with the car feeling like it was slipping and grinding only on sharp right hand turns which I assumed was bad clutches in the rear differntial and had it replaced with a rebuilt unit.
Lately, I noticed that only at WOT at the 1-2 shift it makes a grinding/clunking sound. At any part throttle angle it is fine and from a WOT downshift from 3-2 it is also fine. I had attributed this to the rearend wearing out, but now that it's been changed leaves me wondering about the tranny.
Any ideas on what to check ? My experience with 4L60's (several unfortunately) on their way out have always began with third gear problems.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Strange symptom .
But the slipping on hard right hand turns is a symptom of low fluild as could be the 1-2 issue. Check your fluid level and condition and bear in mind theres no such thing as a little low in a 4l60e

Well it would not hurt and also looking in the pan will give a better idea of what the trans condition is.
