can the 4l60e be swapped to a 6l60e

can the 4l60e be swapped to a 6l60e ? can the 4l60e be swapped to a 6l60e (if not is there a simialar conversion to create the same effect 3 bad *** gears and a couple of overdrives)?
(the new benzs & Lexus ect. top cars have 8 gears nowadays would be nice to have 2 overdrives and be able to crusie on the expressway at real low RPMs like the M6 folks do.

I've always wondered the same thing, my F-body would be bada$$ with a 6-speed. TCI makes a 6-speed auto but it's pretty pricey.
EDIT: Did some searching, great info but seems nothing for my Gen III unless I go with a Gen IV motor.

Tci yea since I posted I read about the TCI and it's control module $6.K for that money I could get a used gen 5 motor,trans. and ECU.would take some time to find low mileage stuff maybe on a wrecked LS3 vette.
