Default How Much Did You Pay For Your Trans

So im kinda worried about my trans since it has 120k on it. If it blows i want to replace it with a nice 600-700hp trans so next summer i wont have to buy one. So im only looking for people with a 4l60e lt1 trans that can provide me with info on there trans and price.

Id like to see how many people are running off brand transmission and beating the **** out of them.

I originally bought a 4L60E Level 4 tranny from FLP, like 7 years ago. It lasted 4 months. Never saw a track, just street driven. I got the parts from them and had a local tranny shop fix it and it lasted 6 months.

I met a guy in an F-Body club that works at a Chrysler dealership as a tranny tech, he rebuild it the 3rd time. Parts were $350, he charged me $150 for his labor. It lasted 3 years. He rebuilt it again for about the same cost and its been another 3 years since then and its still perfect like day one.

Its the exact car and mods you see in my sig.

Where do you live?

Don't know, I'm sure its like putting it in a 1998-2002 F-Body, just gotta beat the tunnel well with a hammer some.

There's a shop here that builds MEAN *** 4L80E's. People love them and they never friggin break. A guy here has had one for 2 years in his 880 RWHP sc'ed Trans Am, its perfect.

I don't ever buy tranny's anymore from people not local to me...too much bullshit when any little thing happens for the out of town builder to help with. And it always costs an arm and a leg if they're out of town. Too many people everywhere know how to build a great ranny.

I paid 1950 for my stage 2 performabuilt with a 3kstall! almost 2 years ago. Very good trans and company and frank is always there to answer your questions. And right now they are the only ones offering 2 year warranty. Free of charge.

Damn, that Performabuilt warranty is pretty attractive. Just sucks to have to ship the tranny back and forth. Unless they will send you a new one under warranty and then you can send your failed one back. But I doubt it.

I can have my friend completely rebuild my 4L60E with all the best parts for about what it costs for shipping one way. And its finished in one day.
