Is it me or my stall??
As for as the stall goes 1 & 2 does fell good but its no third. I just drove it and checked codes before and after. NOTHING...I got on it a bit and I don't feel the 2-3 shift. When it's supposed to go in rpms just of up. I did notice it bang into 2nd once. I do know the trans isn't programed for my 3.42s, it may just be the tuning....
Would I get a code????

I was able to make my car shift into 3 with EFI Live. But I am a novice with LS Edit and never took the time to research what settings to change with LS Edit in the tune. You can double check with Frank at Performabuilt but IMO if you can manually get the car to shift into third like I did with EFI live then I would assume the transmission is still OK and the very loose TC is forcing a code disabling the PCM shift into 3. I am told a transmission shop with the correct diagnostic tools can also mechanically shift the car into 3.
Yes - you might eventually need to replace the transmission but at least you can drive it temporarily until your budget and funds allow for an upgrade.
Since I was replacing the Vig (way too loose) with a Yank PY 3400 I decided to replace the transmission with a Performabuilt Lvl III because I added nearly 200 rwhp with the ATI D1 SC.
I never did determine the real cause of not shifting into 3 - but to this day I think it was the TC causing the problems. The tranny had a lvl 1 rebuild with less than 5000 miles behind a very mild 385 rwhp h/c 347.

I'm looking into a performa. If I can wait a bit on the trans it would be best. Still looking to rebuild it. I want to go FI on NOS next year.
I tried to shift it to 3rd and still the same but it did seem better...

This post in quotes is what I referring to.
"If you're scanning using hptuners you can open the VCM tools, click the trans tab, put it in OD and shift it manually from the laptop by clicking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th under A4 gear select.
Should eliminate anything tune related. In other words if it shifts normal by doing this, then the tune is messed up.
Doesn't sound like a trans mechanical problem, unless maybe it's vacuum modulated."

I have a Diablo tunner. I can read ect. but don't think I can do much more. The tune in the diablo was when I had 346, not the 408. So I can't load a tune, just read what's going on. Guess it could be a tune problem.
