Default Tci Ss 3500?

I just ordered the TCI superstreetfighter converter and my buddy asked if it is a full locking converter. I dont know what that means. can anyone let me know what a locking converter is and if the one i purchased is locking. Thanks

Yes it has a lock up clutch.

When the converter locks (during closed loop operation under cruise conditions) the input and output side of the converter turn the same speed. This takes the converter slippage out of the equation making the engine RPMs lower at any given MPH. This results in better gas mileage as well.

And yes, your converter, like the stock converter, has a lockup clutch.
