cooler questions when installing an external trans cooler is it best to run it thru the internal cooler then the external or just bypass the internal all together?
I run mine through the stock cooler then into a B&M cooler. I'm sure you'll get opinions on both sides of the fence, but I can say that if you bypass the stock cooler, make sure the cooler you use is large enough to get the job done.
That's what I've always done. I look at the stock cooler to "normalize" the temp, and the cooler to drop it some from there. You're in Texas, and not likely to overcool the fluid.

Everyone I have spoken to has said run it through the factory cooler and then through the aftermarket. Only if you are confident if there are no issues with the factory cooler. I have the Heavy Duty PWR installed on mine and I am pretty sure they recommended this as well.
