700r4 in a 93 My buddy picked up a 93 Z with a rebuilt 700r4 in it.
The transmission seems to shift way too soon.
It feels like it takes off in first and shifts to second almost immediately.
Is there any adjustment available?
Could there be anything else causing this?

You can try tightining the TV cable some.
Any gear swap been done and is the speedo correct

How would you go about tightening the tv cable?
I tried looking at the linkage and couldn't see any available adjustment.

Not sure if it has aftermarket gears. I just called him and asked him to check the speedo with someone elses car. He just bought the car a couple of hours ago.

Theres a little tab there at the throttle body where the tv cable come out of its housing
