LOL Well my first 10 bolt lasted about 4 years and then KABOOM! I figured the next one would last till the motor went out...WRONG!! 6 months later KABOOM! then i put another in and it lasted another 6-7 months then KABOOM! so im on my 4th 10 bolt and the last time out the 3.73s were about to explode so i ordered a set of 4.10s to put back in the car, since the 3.73s were spare to get me back on the road. As far as 60fts. im pulling mid 1.5s with 2 of the rears breaking before i could even break the tree but it pulled the wheel very high when it did,who knows what the 60ft. would have been

I have broken 3 ring and pinions and 2 posi's along with the forward sprag in the tranny. I have a full suspension on ET Drags as well but one of them was a bad wheel hop on 10.5 ET streets causeing the most damage.

Yeah Loudmouth LS1, it IS possible to twist an axle and not have it shatter, but it's very rare. Aftermarket axle's tend to be more "springey" than brittle like the stock parts. If he has an aftermarket 12 bolt, it's very possible that the axle's are twisted. But if it is then it's reaching the end of it's life
