Default Converter or Trans issue?

Tuner called....said on WOT only (on the dyno right now) it will flash up and start going until 4k rpm...then it dies off and the car slows down....then it picks back up after that at 5krpm and finishes out to redline without issues.

Any ideas?

Dont really see anyway a trans or a converter issue could cause a power loss only between a certain rpm range.

If it's flashing through the converter it wouldn't have any loss of power would it? It wouldn't lose mph or anything or sound like it's bogging down.

No not just in a certain rpm range, Now if it dropped and stayed there maybe but power dropping off then picking back up I dont think so
