Default Hurst dual gate shifter in 95 A4

whatsup guys. Does anyone know of any write up's or any info they can give me on using any type of aftermarket Hurst dual gate shifter in 93-97 4th gens with the 4L60E? I have an old school Hurst dual gate shifter out of probably a 60's GTO or Olds 442 and want to see if I can use it in my 95 Z/28. I'm having a hard time figuring out what the two cables do that push in when you press down the button on the stock shifter to shift it out of park. Somebody with a badass race car with a shifter like this should probably have some info on it. Let me know thanks.

I have a buddy looking for the same thing, wants to put a 700r4 in his GTO and keep a dual gate setup.
