LMFAO !!!!! that is seriously the worst car related video i have ever seen, AAAAAAAHAHAHA !!!!!

anyways, since i dropped it down to 1st gear initially i didn't think i needed to give the car that much gas seeing as it was so low. i assumed it was gonna wind up rather quickly

i hate to try it again just so i can get a good burnout in. car has 155K miles on it with fresh tires, fresh water pump, BMR drop and a brand spankin new paint job.

i don't see myself trying it again, HAHA !!!!

thanks for all the help guys.

yeah, i was trying to convince myself that the car had fresh, somewhat sticky tires and something possibly havning to do with a stall or something.

i just don't want to believe that my car didn't make enough power to shift gears during a burnout

<--- slightly emberassed.

well, i've heard horror stories about people doing burnouts and overheating the cars by blowing the water pump gaskets and lekaing **** everywhere.

also, at 155K miles i'm assuming the car "may be" slightly tired.

i plan on doing full exhaust, LS6 intake and a cam package, but i need to do a compression test first to find out if the engine can hold the extra 65ish horsepower with it having so many miles.

not being able to switch gears during a burnout is what raised a small red flag.

Car smelt like clutch for a while though...

lol Dude not for nothing but you remembered to remove the TCS button right lol. I;ve gotten a4 and never had any problem doing a burnout much nicer with line lock now but still WTF hold the brake down and nail it not that hard but any v8 worth its cents should be able to break the rears loose I Don't care if you only have 1 million miles it should break loose if car is mechanically fine. Hold brake nail gas hold until satified sorry to vent but c'mon

my bitch has 171K and will light the tires up like a **** on command...never had a problem with my beloved LS1 I also have a A4...its easy...like said above...hold brake nail it...let out brake slightly almost to a roll then your doing good if u can do the slow rolling sideways burnout cause those are sexy! Only problem with it is that its addicting but tires are so expensive...

ok, one thing i did do was ease into it in 1st gear. that might have something to do with it.

i guess i can try it one more time just for ***** and giggles. this time i'll just goose the **** out of it in "D" as opposed to dropping it down.

that being said in my 29 years of life i have never locked up the front brakes to do a burnout. last week i got the nerve to do it (brand new tires @ 1500 miles ago - 285/40/17 Nitto 555's).

i pushed the brake in and stomped on the throttle. i was preparing myself to get the car up to speed and then hold it somewhere @ 55mph. didn't happen.

car stayed @ 2000rpm and spun the tire @ 30mph or so, HAHA !!! car never shifted gears until i let off the brake. when i let off the break the car got sideways and red lined. i let off the throttle after it redlined.

from what i understand the car is pretty much bone stock with an MTI Lid and Flowmaster muffler. i think the stock gearing back there is 3.23's, correct !?!?

is this a stall question or a gear question or what !?!? is this normal for the car to not shift gears while doing a burnout !?!?

to be honest with you, it was quite emberassing, HAHA !!! what i thought would take @ 10 seconds ended up taking @ 40 seconds
I leave mine in OD, make sure there is a little water on the tires, hold the brake and mash the gas, let it shift into second and start easing off the brake...the car will come out smooth that way.

they didn't teach you how to spin the tires and powerslide in police driving school
j/k you think it's hard in an auto try it in a 6-speed. if your on dry pavement the nittos will stick to the ground like mad at first till you get them rolling then they should spin a little easier once they get hot. you have regular nt555 or nt555DR? DR's are much stickire than the regualr street tires.

Looks like he has the regular 555s.

1. Turn off traction control
2. Put car in D or 1st, this is debatable
3. Lightly press the brake.
4. Press gas about half way or so and apply brake to keep from moving (NOT TOO HARD!!)
5. Mash gas
6. Don't hit rev limiter

= a good burnout, now go do it!
