alright, i just finished my swap 4l60e and ls1 into an 84 ta, and i went driving, but it wont shift out of first gear , and i accidently shifted into reverse while driving aout 15-17 and the tires locked up and the engine died... shouldnt there be a safety for that???
any ideas are appreciated

 

check wiring and electronics

 

all wiring is plugged in, everything is grounded well also...

 

i pulled the codes, i got malfunctioning knock sensor and cooling fan malfunction- i hardwired the cooling fans to a switch, and i dont have any o2 sensors on the drivers side yet, could this be the problem, and i dont have any exhaust after the manifolds...
could anyone help with this problem
