Default Hard kick when putting in drive after LS1 swap...

Well.. I swapped a 99 LS1/4L60E into a 95 3.4/5 Speed. Everything is wired up and running for the most part. When I put the car in drive it kicks pretty hard and when driving(I only took it around the block)it boggs the motor down when down shifting almost to the point of stalling. Also shifts hard from 1-2. I drove the donor car the same way and did not notice this issue before I pulled it. The only transmission wire I hooked up is on the C100 plug which is pin G for trans/EGR which is on a separate 15A fused circuit. The only thing hooked up on the shifter is the shifter cable.

Could it be caused by my tac being off cause the car is not tuned yet? My RPM's are reading around 500-600 at idle. I just put on a new trans filter and filled it with 6 quarts of fluid after I noticed the issue with no change. Nothing abnormal or excessive in the trans pan either. If it helps the trans has around 86k on it and has been bolted to a bone stock motor. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Oh.. I did a search and the only thing I found similar were people saying that it was probably a 3/4 clutch failure. Just want to make sure I didn't F anything up with the wiring before I buy a new trans.

I just drilled a hole in my intake and hooked that up the other day. Also tuned now and it seems much better. It has twice gave me a slight kick on the 1-2 when going very easy on the throttle. Is it normal to hear a ping noise when the trans shift's? I only really hear it on 1-2 and reverse sometimes.
