My tranny only leaks when I hammer on my car, If i just drive normal no drip at all.Just wondering what it might be, the obv answer will be don't hammer on it! lol Just looking for a few pointers and info. Thanks in advance

 

Check that it not overfull or the vent tube has become blocked . Also verify exactly where the fluid is coming from will help solve the issue also.

 

Whatever it is, it will continue to get worse, since line pressure increases when you hammer on it, fluid is getting through a small hole/crack/ect. Well, that leak will continue to grow until fixed. Just keep checking your fluid level and you should be OK until you hunt that sucker down. I had fluid leaking from my output shaft, turned out to be a rear seal, easy fix so check that. Also, have you installed a transmission cooler?

 

no cooler yet, once I get my stall I will get tranny cooler. My car hasn't leaked in days. If I stay out of it I mean hammering it no leaks, only after I went to the track did it leak???
