Draining Converter?

Hey guys,

Is it possible I could drill a small hole in the side of the converter to allow all the fluid to drain out? then weld it back shut. lol

Best bet is a cut/clean....otherwise flip it over and let it drain overnight. Not many options really.

My ford Truck has a hole in the bell housing and a pipe plug (from the factory) in the torque converter. I think this is an awesome idea and i dont see why you couldnt do it on any other car as long as everything is sealed well when done.

I have seen many converters that have been destroyed by doing this
unless you know what is under the drill point I would not do it
also the small chips from the drilled hole will go into the converter
