Quick TC and Shift Kit question
Before you read any further. YES I did read the recent posts about comments on people with their new TCI converters.Yes I did a search. I just would like to know what the others think as well.
Will a switch from the stock converter to a TCI3500 make a big difference in roll-on performance?
I know this is somewhat subjective but I'd like to know what you guys think.
If not is this something that can be helped with edit tuning?
Will a shift kit aid roll-on performance?
This is for a 1998 T/A with a lid and cut-out possibly and FTRA soon.
thank you

Should be hellacious from a roll, and yes a shift kit will help. The TCI SSF 3500 is very well made and preforms great, IMO its the best bang for the buck and I would recommend it to anybody. Good Luck man

Good deal.
After all the looking around and annoying questions
I figured the TCI converter and shift kit would be my best bet for what I am trying to do.
Helping me from a roll is a fantastic bonus.

I don't know about the TCI 3500 but I'd imagine it's roughly the same as my Yank SS3600. From a roll it's INCREDIBLE! And get used to having ZERO traction in first gear with regular radials, even on 25-35mph kickdowns. Really helps with the "dead spot" on the 40-45 kickdown. 3500-3800 converter is the BEST mod for a stock or bolt on car.
A shift kit will also aid roll-on performance, not so much in "performance" but it will help the trans shift faster, and release/apply faster on clutch to clutch downshifts (3-2 for example). This will ultimately extend the life of your transmission. Since the trans is going to be out, I'd suggest a Corvette intermediate servo or the billet unit from PATC. It's a real easy upgrade and really firms up second gear (band apply) and speeds up the 2-3 shift a bit too.
Don't think twice about getting a converter, it's THE best mod you can do.
