Default Which tranny do I have and what converter

I have an 01 Z28 what code in the door tells me what transmission I have and also will a torque converter from an LT1 fit. I am in need of one and there are many out there for the Lt1 cars right in my area. I just want to know what models are interchangeable. And of course I want to know what model I have in the Z.

Thanks,

You have a M30 also known as the 4l60e. Your converter is a ls1 300mm converter and it is not interchangeable with a lt1. Lt1 converters would be referred to as the 298mm converter in stock form. Vince

What kind of converter are you looking for? I have a stock LS1 converter and a 3200 aftermarket one with very low miles. Both for sale.
