Default 200-4R question

What do I need to do to the d-5 grand national converter to get it to work with a ls1? Also what flex plate should I use? I am going from a T56 to the 200-4r.

Can anyone that did a t56 200-4r swap finally chime in and try and tell me all about it.

I want to know what I am in for!!

Weatherguy!!
Trevor-I called for you today btw
Joe did help me
Thanks
Mike

Theres alot of things your going to need. I used the stock auto flexplate. The D5 is going to have to have have an extention put on the hub on the converter. Are you going with a full manual VB or use the stock one and run a TV cable?

I was thinking about full manual but I am starting to lean towards the tv route.

Who can do the D5 conversion? Where can I get a stock auto flexplate? I have a m6 car right now so just pull the old flywheel and rplace it with the flexplate??

http://www.transmissioncenter.net/200-4R.htm

There is some very good things on that site that can help you. If you use that flexplate spacer then you dont need to use an extention on your converter.

So a D5 stock converter out of a grand national can work with a LS1 flexplate? If I add the spacer?
