Default Glazed 3 / 4 clutches in an A4?

How do you tell and test to determine if you have glazed clutches in an A4?

Thanks

John

The 2-3 shift will become sloppy.

You will also have alot of bouncing on the limiter when under heavy acceleration between shifts...

Thanks guys. I do not have any of these symptoms. And WFIW the trans. fluid is a year old and it looks and smells like new.

Trans fluid can last almost idefinitely under some circumstances (I mean 100,000 miles and MORE.) Even driven extremely hard it'll last until it's dirty. How fast are you wearing your frictions? This dictates how quickly it gets dirty. It might be that it's dirty in 5,000 miles or it could be 50,000 miles.

If it doesn't smell burnt then that's a VERY good indication that your frictions are still in good shape.
