Default Which planetaries are effective in each gear?

In a 4L60E, I searched forever on google.
I remember reading a long time ago that one planetary is overdriven in one gear and operates normally in another.

I have a problem with a slight whine in 1st, and in 4th around 60mph.
No metal in the pan.

Would someone mind explaining which planetaries are operating in each gear. Thanks.

1st gear. Reduction in front planet. 3.059:1 ratio
2nd gear. Reduction from front planet combined with overdriven rear planet from 2-4 band applied. 1.625:1 ratio
3rd gear. Front planet locked. No gear reduction. 1:1 ratio.
4th gear. Front planed locked combined with overdriven rear planet from 2-4 band applied. 0.696:1 ratio
What kind of whine? The only thing "on" in 1st and 4th only is shift solenoid A. Does it do it in manual 1st?
