Loud bang when downshifting

Car in question is a 96 lt1 t/a, problem is when you floor it and it down shifts to 1st or 2nd and sometimes 3rd there is a BANG from what sounds like the tranny. Shifting to 1st is feels like something is going to shoot through the floor as the higher the gear the less bang.. any suggestions? I changed the tranny mount last week and after breaking it in I floored it and still had the issue.. however it was just an autozone one I cant see it breaking from just flooring it? Thanks.

check to make sure your torque arm didn't come loose...also double check the tranny mount...hell even double check your cross member.....

Problem solved.... it was the cheap autozone mount.... it broke in one day of normal driving! I ordered the one from ws6store.com and its been smooth sense. So... stay away from the cheap autozone tranny mounts! lol.

actually not to take up for autozone but they do sale a poly trans mount. my stock replacement lasted a wk on my lt1 car. the autzone held very well.lol
and i hate autozone
