Default t56 to th400 swap complete. HELP

so got the transmission installed and test drove it. well the speed sensor wires that are stock on t56 didnt fit into the pigtail on th400 electrice pickup. soo soldered the correct pigtail to transmission harness. but when we went to drive it in 1st gear i was already able to read 80mph at idle. does anyone have advice how to keep this setup but get the right speed without having to reflash pcm.

It would be way cheaper to find someone local to reflash the pcm.
IIRC the T56 has a 10 tooth reluctor and every other automatic vss reluctor has 40 teeth.

I'd get it reflashed for the reluctor change, and disable any codes while they're in there.

since i soldered to the wires and all. could they just reflash to a A4 setup and disable any codes there also. since the 4l60e has the same ring

Either way will work.
It's actually more work and more codes to delete doing an A4 tune.
I'll avoid detail and say it'll be cheaper to change the tune for the speedo.
