Th400 Oil?

What is the best trans fluid to use in my th400? Anyone using royal purple?

Also what the best Trans cooler? I am putting down some pretty good power and need to keep it real cool.

I have a drain plug in the pan... I know it is over kill to change 1/4 of the fluid each year when the car only gets a few thousand miles but its like 3$ per Qt so why not

It has been 3 years now and 14,000 miles so I might drop the pan and do the filter this spring

Another vote for Valvoline Dex dino oil. Change more often if you hammer the tranny at the track.

Stay away from any fluids that have friction modifiers.
