Default 4l60e Camaro question,

Do the camaro 4l60e’s have a removable bell housing, and a 6 bolt tailshaft housing?

Is the VSS in the tailshaft housing?

What years would have the 6 bolt tailshaft? I guess 1997 and up?

Thanks!

wow cant believe you didnt get a reply yet lol. The 98+ trannys had the removable bell housings and all to my knowledge have th speed sensor in the tailshaft. And i have no idea about the 6 bolt tails..not unless its maybe from a driveline brake.

Yes they have a six bolt tailshaft. And yes the speed sensor is located on the passenger side of it.
