Trans Issues??

Default Trans Issues??

So my car was out of commission for a little over a year with a blown trans, n then I also did a cam swap...

So this summer I have been trying to get some miles on the car with the new trans in, and a tune from madz28...Well I was racing a buddy of mine yesterday and it seemed as though the trans did not want to shift into 4th gear. Now I realize my rev limiter was set to 6,900rpm's but this thing sat at 7k for a couple of seconds before it shifted to 4th at wot.

I'm really hoping that my trans is not f*cked again, because if it is, I'm gonna have the guy who built mine, reimburse me what it will cost to have FLT build it the right way for me.

I also have a 2800-3200 stall, and 3.73 gears in the car, I'm just not sure what to do here, or why it was taking so long to shift

You should probably have the tuner lower the 3-4 shift rpm and mph to see if this corrects your problem. Vince B

that's what I was told, I think I am going to wait for a dynotune once I get a new throttle body. Someone told me that I need to lower the 3-4 shift point because it needs an extra 300-400 rpms to shift and the stock computer can only handle around 7k rpms so it's really trying to shift at 7300 at WOT.
