Default 4l60e and 4l80e... differences?!?!?

i read the stickies and didn't find an answer. so here goes: what are the main differences between the 4l60e and the 4l80e?

i will be running a 6.0 (from a 99 2500 4x4) i will be drag racing my minitruck on occassion, but more than likely just a weekend street cruiser/full show truck. i'm not exactly sure which transmission will be best for my application, so i will give as much specifics as i can.

est hp 500-550 at crank 400-450 at the rear wheels
22" x 8 wheels in front with 245/30/22 tires
22x10" wheels in the rear with 255/30/22 tires
gears in rear will be from a stock 00-06 f/s 6 lug rear from a 1500 or tahoe most likely....

anything else just ask.

thanks in advance,

jeremy

You might run into issues with the 99 6.0. Go over to performance truck and look around. It seems that engine only works with an 80 do to flywheel issues. Vince B
