4l60e and 4l80e... differences?!?!?

4l60e and 4l80e... differences?!?!? i read the stickies and didn't find an answer. so here goes: what are the main differences between the 4l60e and the 4l80e?
i will be running a 6.0 (from a 99 2500 4x4) i will be drag racing my minitruck on occassion, but more than likely just a weekend street cruiser/full show truck. i'm not exactly sure which transmission will be best for my application, so i will give as much specifics as i can.
est hp 500-550 at crank 400-450 at the rear wheels
22" x 8 wheels in front with 245/30/22 tires
22x10" wheels in the rear with 255/30/22 tires
gears in rear will be from a stock 00-06 f/s 6 lug rear from a 1500 or tahoe most likely....
anything else just ask.
