2004r swap information (from 4l60e) I'm interested in the speedo cable. I had heard that the speedo cable used was actually from a t-56, and welded into the back of the tranny (near the tailshaft).
Is that true?
If not, can someone explain how the speedometer gets it's information in a "swapped" car?

I've done the swap, and what i did was i bought the reluctor wheel for a 4l60e and had it pressed on the output shaft of the 200r4. BUT you have to mill the outputshaft down .005 or the inside of the reluctor wheel bored out .005
Then i drill a hole in the side of the case of the 200r4 and epoxyed the speed sensor into place about .020 away from the reluctor wheel so the speedo will work.
