Default Yank SS3800 or SS4000 with my mods....

Mods are in sig, I currently have 3.23 gears and don't plan to change them yet, possibly 3.73's at the most, want to see how it runs as is. The car is a daily driver. Which of these two converters would you recommend, both have the 21 blade stator design, the 3800 I can get in 2.5 or 2.55 STR and the 4000 in a 2.6 STR. What would you recommend?

I have the SS4000 with 3.23s. I like it but that doesn't mean you will. What's nice to drive on a day to day basis is very opinionated.

The SS3800 is a fairly safe bet on drivability. The SS4000 is a little less so.

I think the SS4000 will be a decent street/strip converter, your stock gears will contribute to the looseness of this converter. Although you will still retain good MPG with your 3.23s I would strongly advise going with 3.73s. These will greatly compliment the SS4000. Good Luck man

When ever there is doubt go with the bigger one. Converter, Cam etc That should be the general rule.

Best advice I've heard in a while.

I have the SS3800 with 3:23's 385rwhp/383 rwtq run upper to mid 11's on et sts, gas mileage isnt the best though lol all in all I'd say I definetly made the right choice over the 3600 I was considering ! My car now is deadly from a roll under 40 mph !
