Default th400 ls1 converter gap to flex plate question

With the converter fully seated there is about a 1/4" gap between the flex plate and the flat circle mounting plate. The converter will easily move out to the flex plate, but what is the gap supposed to be? I'm thinking some washers are needed.

Hopefully someone can provide some input

You want the gap to be about 1/8", so you need to get some 1/8"spacers. SAE washers are .060, that might be the only thing you can find locally. So you could use 2 of those. I have some 1/8" spacers, let me know if you need them. Just make sure they all measure the same thickness.
