hey guys jus wondering will the hammer shifter let me get manual first gear on my 4l60e or does it not have enoough detents?? i see on the gear indicator it only says d 1 2 but it says it works on 3 and 4 speeds i just want to make sure ill be able to manually select 1st gear and lock it in any1 know ??

 

Do you have a manual valve body? I wouldn't throw it in a car with a stock valve body just so you can manual shift.

 

valve bodys been modified and a shift kits been installed as well as a full rebuild and a 3k stall convertor i just wanna be able to hold gears thats all will it give me the 1st gear detent so i can get 1-2-3-4 -n-r-p?

 

Yes the B&M Hammer can hit all 4 gears.

 

I wanted to get an after market shifter on my FLT trans just for astetic reasons. Can this shifter be used so that it just comes out of the stock slit in the console without butchering the console?
