Vig 3200 performance question
From what I have seen posted here a Vig 3200 stalls around 3500 behind a stock LS1.
What would it stall at behind a heads and cam LS1 making 390hp/390tq?
On a stock LS1 shifting at 6000 the converter would drop back down to 4150 on the 1-2 shift and would fall back down to 4450 on the 2-3 shift with a shift point of 6150.
What would be the above numbers be if it was behind a LS1 making 390hp/390tq and shifting at 6500rpm?
Thanks
John

I think the shift extension is higher than that, maybe closer to the 5k mark. I dont think your power would change the converter enough where you can really tell the difference. You will most defiantly see an increase in your shift ext. with the higher shift RPMs. I see you have listed a Pro Thruster 4400 in your sig. Your not thinking to going to a vig3200 are you. IMO that would be pointless. Good Luck

I have both converters and the PT4400 has a little whine to it and a little more shift extension than what I need. I was considering putting the Vig3200 in the car
and some 3.73 gears and giving it a try while the 4400 was getting looked at and re-stalled.FWIW when the car was a bolt-on only I picked up .20 in the 1/4 going from the 3200 to the 4400.
PT4400. It is a great strip converter.John

When i had my Vig.3200 i would see shift extentions of 5000 rpms with it flashing on a dead hook of 3800 rpms. I hope my PT 4400 give me another .1-.2 like yours did because my Pro Stock does not ET or MPH very well.
