Adding fluid to 4l60e help needed FAST On my way to work my tranny started acting up. I would give it gas and it would go up to 4500rpms and wouldn't shift gears. It was at 4500 rpms from 45mph all the way to 70mph. I barely made it to work. I looked in the owners manual to find where I can just add some fluid to it, and it wasn't helpful. The only thing In can find under the hood for the trans is the dipstick. Anyone know if I just need to add some fluid, or is my trans shot. The fluid is brown, but does not smell burnt. It's in the parking lot at work. I just need to atleast get it to my house 25 miles away. Any help would be apprciated. I need to get it out of the parking lot asap. Its an a4 with 87k miles.
