AWD to RWD

Found a decent deal on a 07 Trailbazer SS that's wrecked. I've been looking for a swap for my 68 Camaro. The Trailblazer is a AWD model. What all is involved in swapping it over to RWD?

get a rwd trans, and ditch the front drive axle. easy enough.

Remove the AWD/4x4 output shaft and install a 2x4 long output shaft, tail housing and VSS. But you have to take the trans all apart to do that.

on the other hand... we have all heard of LSx conversions, but how many of us have heard of any AWD 68 camaros
