1/4 quart isnt jack. no worries.....although is the tranny warmed up?
overfilling will cause cool little bubbles in the fluid, which sucks
oh yeah....whats a carb
needles...jets??
are the fuel metering devices??

When the tranny is warmed up the fluid is about 2-3 inches above the full mark. Can those little bubbles do damage to my freshly built tranny? Its a 950 cfm demon carb.

Yes they can.You want the transmission to pump fluid through the engine for cooling, lubricating, and transferring power. This doesn't happen as well when it is pumping bubbles. Drain some fluid out of it ASAP.
Easiest way if you don't have a drain plug is to open one of your trans cooler lines (assuming they are rubber and clamped at some point)and let some fluid drain out.

2-3 inches above the full mark is way more than 1/4 quart. I once had a trans installed (not my current trans) and when I got home it was about 2-3 inches over filled. I had to drain out about 2 quarts to get it where it should be (top of full mark).
Bubbles are bad....

can it cause it to slip or just not perform so well, because i dont really want to mess with it since it is leaking and im going to change fluid and filter in a week or so to stop the leak. So maybe the extra will leak out and not do damage?

As the air bubbles circulate through the tranny circuits, they become foam, which decreases the ability of the fluid to lubricate AND carry heat!
The 4L60E does NOT like even 1/4 qt, = 1 cup, overfill.
