need help 3rd time trans in repair shop
need help 3rd time trans in repair shop ok. finally i got my dream car 2000 trans am with a built 10 bolt 4:10 gears and a procharger pushing 7psi, b4 tht it was jus a stock v8 with the 4:10s and trans fried 3rd and 4th gear ok, did an overhaul repalced them. next thing trans jus dsnt wanna shift from park cant even move the shifter down, pump was bad. now i got the procharger on it, full rebuild on the trans new pump, and now.....it wont shift past 2nd gear im going 20-25 mph and its at about 2300 rpm... what is going on here help? are the 4:10s causing this? idk nemore. im thinking about going with a 700r4 or a th400. but can some1 give me some insight on what may be causing this? there was no line pressure by the way.
Your problem could be trans related but could also be tuning related. I would check the tune and if nothing there possibly consider one of the sponsors here. The 700r4 is certainly not and improvement over the 60e

im guessing tht it would prolly b tranny issues then? i mean b4 the procharger it still did the same thing its doing now... so i take it the 700r4 isnt an upgrade. so im thinking about going with a raptor th400. ne1 got ne info on those trans?
