Default 4l80 from flooded truck

Found an extremely cheap one from a flood salvage....

Was planning on rebuilding whatever I found but trannies out of flood vehicles....correct me if I'm wrong but how would water even get in to mess it up? If the dipstick was closed and the vehicle submerged it'd be fine right?

It shouldn't be a problem if your planning on getting it rebuilt.

Water could get in thru the vent.
