Hey guys, buddy has a 4th gen camaro with 4l60e, it recently would not shift into 3rd or 4th anymore.

Just looking for some general ideas, do you think it could be the VSS or a solenoid problem, or should we look into something non electrical such as the 3-4 assembly?

Very likely the 3-4 clutch pack. I recently had the same problem. I tore the tranny apart and every component except the 3-4 set looked great ... I'm still trying to figure out exactly why it failed.
