Default will not go into reverse 4l60e

fresh rebuild, will not go into reverse seams to engage in all other gears but when put into reverse I get about a half rotation then it seams to bind and stop moving. could a timken bearing put in upside down cause this or is it something else?

I would think that a bearing upside down would cause this issue even though its an issue. I would make sure that the manual valve is connected properly. Also that the bolts for the valve body are installed in the proper location and torqued properly. Check the three that hold the small plate down in the back of the case holding the separator plate down. These are the ones with the 8mm heads. Many things can cause issues in a transmission so it sounds like you have some digging to do! Vince
