not meaning to bring this back from the dead but I'm a little confused. My understanding is that in order to enable this "performance" mode you need to install the momentary switch and get the shift tables programed to the PCM? or is there already a performance table there that all you need to do is ad the switch?

The tables are there but not populated in the later cars. So theoretically, it would seem that if the data was input to the tables and a switch installed, it could work. But that leaves the question of the wiring of the switch and how that would be compatible with the later setup.

The tables are there, info is the same in all of them. There are 3 sets of tables. Normal, Performance, Hot.

It has been a long time so I can't remember the pinout, but you just run a wire from the ecu to your momentary switch, then a wire from switch to ground.

Stock tables are the same so to see a difference you would need to have your performance tables adjusted to do what you want

EFILive actually shows four; Cruise is added to the three you mention. The peformance tables are all set to max - in effect, zeroed out. So one would have to populate those tables with the desired shift information.

Yeah we have cruise in a couple categories too, without looking at it I can't recall which though.
