Default Autos at the track?

ok guys, my Z06 is at ECS getting an auto conversion and i have a few questions. at the track to you guys burnout in 1st or 2nd? when doing a run do you have it in d or 3? when "testing" on the street, is it true you are not supposed to let it downshift from od at wot? sorry for the questions but i have never raced an auto before. btw, the car put down 450 rwhp 411 rwtq with the 6 speed through 3:90s. the car will have a circle d +4c stall and 3.73s.

I start out in 1st and shift to 2nd. I only rev to about 4k in 1st before shifting to 2nd. Once in 2nd, I mash the gas to the floor and turn off the line lock and before I hit the rev limiter, I let off the gas and roll to the line.

Start your burnout with wet tires in 2nd gear. No need to subject the trans to a shift during a burnout. Plus its easier to control the revs in 2nd and you build tire heat quicker.
