Default 4l80e controller wiring question

If I switch my M6 to 4l80 and use a trans controller (compushift,GMPP,etc) do I still need an A4 wire harness for the lockout, etc?

Will it be necessary to switch to A4 pedals?

No, the aftermarket PCM will come with a harness. Why not let the factory PCM control the tranny?

If you use an aftermarket shifter, they don't have the option for lockout, so that part isn't needed either.

Yes you can still use A4 pedals (I still haven't switched mine).

I have a '98 6-speed car so I don't think I can switch to using my PCM for an auto. Plus I really like how you can tune the trans with a controller. I don't have, or know how to use, HPTuners. I really really want to though.

I don't want to switch to auto pedals if I dont have to...

Don't have to switch pedals. I can make a 98 PCM control a 4L80 if you reflash an auto tune (4L60E) on it. PM me if you want to go this route.
