Default Decisions, decisions, decisions, another broken 4L60

I think this is #4 or #5. The car was dynoed yesterday they made two pulls with no issues. I got one run in last night against a h/c/n2o Z06 from about a 45 roll and I lost drive after the run This was about 30 miles away from the house so I rolled around 45mph in 3rd on the freeway all the way to the house

Time to decide on going with a th350/400 or 4L80. The trans is not happy at all when the spray comes on

Hmm, depends on if you want OD or not in your ride. Sounds like a 4L80E might be in your future.

How much spray are you using?

Just go with a Trans from FLT and you wont ever have to worry again.

Yeah after I blasted my 5th "built" 4L60E I made the switch. I got sick of fixing them and spending $$$ and having downtime.

Even a bone stock 30k mile '80E out of a wrecked 03 GMC Safari cargo van has held up better in my 30th, for several thousand miles now. I wish I'd have swapped sooner.

My new FLT Level IV 4L80E that just came in (going in on Wednesday) should never even blink !

Quit wasting money on the 60 and step up to an 80. That way you can keep your OD too.

My trans guy who is also a good friend of a buddy offered to fix the tranny for free. I'll give it one last go since it is not going to cost me anything but if/when it breaks again i'm swithching to the 4L80. Car made 650 tq on my small kit so I don't see the 4L60 holding long especially when the big kit comes on.

Just curious to know what the hp rating for the built 4l60 you broke. I have a buddy who wants to trade me a tci streetfighter tranny that is rated at 450hp for my t56. Right now my car is pushing 430rwhp but i am planning on a 100shot. What would you recommend?

i just busted my 4th "built" 4l60.. output shaft keeps falling apart.. tryin to decide wat to do.. but dont have much money from fixing alot of other **** right before the tranny went out
