4l60e suddenly started slipping in 3rd and 4th whats wrong

trans only has about 10000 miles on it. never give a sign of slipping or anything. it takes 1st and 2nd fine no problems. soon as it hits 3rd you can feel it trying but never catches. i've had many trannies go out and start slipping but never nothing like this. any info is appreciated

sounds like it could be the 3-4 clutch pack

Agreed sounds like the 3-4 clutch pack failed or the drum snap ring broke out.
