Default Need a New Transmission?

My 50K D/D 2001 trany just went out. Options are buy a new one from GM with a 3 year 100K warranty, get a Bowler Transmission or have mine rebuilt.
The Bowler is about 1k more. I am not sure how much one is to rebuild.

I'm not familiar with Bowler, so I don't know how good their stuff is, but why not use this as an opportunity to put in an FLT, RPM, or Performabuilt tranny. Since you have to replace it anyway, why not make it something that's really tough.

Please take some time to look at the specials we currently have going with free shipping and plus money off regular pricing on your new transmission from FLT. www.finishlinetrans.com or simply give us a call to go over your options. Thanks for reading. Vince

I would certainly concur you should get a transmission built for performance use by one of the vendors here.
We are all here every day helping out and we know these units and what it takes to make them live in performance aplications

The Bowler Transmissions are built tough according to everyone here at my new job. I get cost plus 5% where I work is why I am going with Bowler. The only other vendor they use is TCI.

You have some good pricing. What is your max torque rating on your 4L60E LS1 F-Body? Why is your core charge $450. That seems to be high but maybe that is why you can keep your prices down.

Are you open this weekend?

Thanks.

You have some great deals. No core charge, free shipping. So you rate your tranys using HP and not torque. What is the standard that everyone uses?

I might be giving you a call on Monday. Do you have the LS1 Level 2 in stock? If not what is the lead time?

Thanks.

The HP ratings are general guide lines and of course are variable with vehical weight and type of power adders used along with rear ratio and other factors.
We can ship ussually within 2-3 business days of the order and its ups ground so pretty quick.

We also have a 1 year warranty trans alone or if you get a trans and converter we have a 2 year warranty,

Thanks

Bowler does pretty good work from what I've dealt with in the past. With that said I had mine recently built over at FLT late in the summer.

Got my car back the other day. Runs great. The shop put dextron 6 in the trany. I asked for 3. Hope 6 is OK. I have always used 3. Should I stick with 3?
