can you identify this flexplate? I thought this was a 98 LS1 flexplate. It has 3 holes close together. Here's a pic:
i was about to buy another 98 LS1 flexplate, but it doesn't have those holes. i need them because my sbc torque converter bolts to one of those triplet holes:

Looks like a stock plate or a cheap after market one. I'm thinking the additional holes you see were to balance it. The part that gets me is the location of the second set of holes for what I would call a dual pattern flexplate. To me they are in the wrong location. IMO they should be centered in between the original locations that were used. Kind of weird but with the three wholes being all in one spot and you using one of them, I would be concerned that would be a weak spot in the flexplate because of the balance holes right next to the converter bolt hole. I've seen several posts here that say a 98 flexplate with the dual bolt pattern will work with an sbc converter. I just got one so hopefully it will work out (for another car).
TJ, do you know if the truck flexplate and the 98 LS1 flexplate both have bolt patterns for an sbc converter?

I bought them used from a member on here. A friend of mine bought his 99 Camaro new in 1998 and he got a set of FLP headers soon after. I liked the sound so much that I wanted a pair, so I just kept watching the Parts Classifieds section until someone sold a set. Sorry man I don't know what the part number is...and I believe FLP stopped making these headers - heard a rumor that they sold the designs to Dynotech but I'm not sure.
I know you can get them from yearone, the pn is FL98.
