Default 4L80e trans question

I am rebuilding a 4l80e out of a 1999 1ton chevy truck. I have found some wear that I don't know if this is a problem or not. Where the check ***** set in the case they are mushed and kind of wore odd shaped. They were all where they should be be just wounding if this is a problem?

What you see is really not an issue. It is pretty common to see this because the metal check ***** being steel are harder than the aluminum case cause this. What I normally do is go in there with a small file and clean it up a bit. Basically knock off the burs so they can not come loose in the future. Then I use torlon (plastic)check ***** so that in the future there will not be any further wear. Good luck with the build. Vince
