Default Need help identifying a PTC converter - 36508

I bought a TH350 from a friend and it came with this converter. It has a PTC sticker on it and the only number stamped in it is 36508. I was looking through their website and it seems like all of their numbers are 3 digits, so I was guessing maybe it's a 508 model with a 3600 stall. But, the problem is, I can't find a 508 model. I'm really just wanting to know if this converter is worth trying or if I should replace it before I even put the trans in (it is like new)

I tried calling them but it said their number isn't right.

Thanks guys.

It measures 11" in diameter.. I believe it's this model since that is their only 11" model.

Unless they have a different line that isn't listed on their website. Judging by their phone number being disconnect, I doubt an email would get an answer.

Anyone know anything about these converters?

Well judging by the welded on ring I'm going to guess it's junk converter. I sent an email to Circle D to get a new one spec'd out.

I've had some of the competition, so I guess I'll give Circle D a try

What is the setup you want to run this converter behind? An 11" probably won't have much of a stall speed and most likely will not meet your expectations. There should be another set of numbers stenciled on the front of the actual part number. It may be under the sticker and would be something like PTC008-12. This would identify the converter model and stall speed.

The phone number is incorrect on their web page try 256-383-9834. I called a couple months ago and that is the number I used.

Thanks I'll try peeling up the sticker and looking.

Its a mild 408ci iron block that I'm planning on spraying a 200 shot on for fun. Street racing/strip car.

Give us a call as we build nitrous converters every day. The ptc converter you are looking at has a welded rear ring because it is not a lock-up. They call that converter a 10" but we call it an 10.5. We dont use that particular core.
