Default Installing converter

I have a new circle d converter and I am having a hard time getting it to spline. I have the transmission turned up so the converter is straight and level but it wont fall into the pump and or splines. The pump turns and so does the input shaft. Any help would be great.

I had this issue with my Yank as well. Didnt seem to want to go past one out of the three clicks. I believe I moved the shift lever on the trans and spun the converter again and I ended up getting it to seat all the way. Might want to try that.

Did you get it in yet? Our input splines are brand new and sometimes a little tight to get on. Let me know...

Not in yet. I have a new input shaft and checked it with the old input shaft and stator shaft and it goes in. the pump tabs are fine too. I'll try putting it in park. The transmission is new and on my bench I can turn the output shaft both ways. It might be cause everythings new.

So you put the input shaft, stator support and pump gears in the converter and it was good. It might just be a little bur on the input or stator splines. Keep us updated.

Ok putting it in park seemed to work. I got it to click 3 times took it back out and checked if the pump was turning with the slots on the converter hub and it seemes to be lined up when I take it out. So.... going to install the tranny.
