Default th-400 tranny temp sender?

My ? is I have th-400 tranny and I picked up a tranny temp gauge were do i screw in the temp fitting into?

mine screws into the line as it goes into the cooler. Maybe there is another spot?

I welded in a piece of cutoff bar stock. Drilled the hole and tapped it with the correct pipe thread tap. Put it right on the side of my pan (you need to locate the best place on your pan, and mock it up on the tranny to make sure the sensor will not interfere with the tranny filter.) This is easy to do if you have an OEM deep pan. I got one from the junk yard for $3. I also did the same thing with bar stock on the angled front of the pan and added a drain plug for later. For some reason I don't have pics of the other side of the pan where the sensor is, but you will want to mock this on your tranny because you will have to bolt the bracket that holds the shifter cable on the same side.

wow nice job you did,I have a deep stock pan so I'll most licley going to something similar to your setup.
