4l60e slipping in 3-4 Yesterday the trans started slipping out of no where. It's lazy when shifting I to 3rd and holds untill around 40 mph the slips in both gears up to about 3000 rpm, at WOT it goes like normal. I have someone that will install new bands, gaskets, filter, for 500$ with labor and parts. Sound good?

I'm not sure that will help. Even if it does, it will only be a band-aid fix. I think your real issue is that your 3-4 clutch pack is slipping. Only a matter of time before it lets go completely.
